E-Library Services
Palliser Regional Library offers an extensive collection of online services and resources. For more information about these services, please go to our E-Library Services Page.
Interlibrary Loan
If the items you require are not available in your branch or elsewhere in the region, you may request material from other libraries. Ask your librarian, or use the Provincial Gateway to request items yourself. Please note that depending on the lending library's ILL policy, some items may not be available for Interlibrary Loan. Examples of these items may include: items less than a year old, extremely popular items, special format items such as CDs and DVDs, periodicals (magazines and newspapers), and rare books or reference materials. You may check the status of your Interlibrary Loans online, including those ordered through The Gateway.
Internet Access

Palliser Regional Library provides free access to the Internet at all of its branches. You can surf the Internet and e-mail as well as access all of our E-Library Services such as the online catalogue and databases. Palliser Regional Library gratefully acknowledges Industry Canada CAP (Community Access Project) for providing funding for many of our branches' public Internet stations. Please see our Internet Policy for more information on the proper use of the Internet in the library.
Reference and Readers' Advisory
Librarians can help you find books and other materials in the library and they can assist you in using the library equipment. Librarians can help you find information, online or in a book, or assist you in using the library's E-Library Services such as the online catalogue or the online databases. Your librarian can also make a recommendation if you don't know what to read next. Your librarian is here to help, so take advantage of it.
Shut-In Service and Books-By-Mail
A branch may deliver books at regular intervals to senior citizens and other shut-ins. Patrons who are unable to use a branch library due to their distance from it, a physical handicap, or other reasons, may receive books through the mail. Books are mailed directly to the patron and a free return label is enclosed. If you would like to apply for either of these services, please contact your local branch.
Programming
Palliser Regional Library offers informational and recreational programs and activities. Typical programs include a story hour for children, a movie night, a speaker on a topic, a demonstration or a display. Branches often have programs during the Summer Reading Program and Saskatchewan Library Week. Keep an eye on our Regional Events page and on your local branch's home page for information on future programs.
